Impact of Organic and Conventional Fertilization on Fruit Productivity and Quality
Abstract
This systematic review aimed to analyze the impact of organic and conventional fertilization on fruit productivity and quality in perennial crops, based on the hypothesis that combining both systems enhances yield, nutrient efficiency, and agricultural sustainability. The PRISMA protocol was applied to select 45 scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025 from indexed databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Science Direct. The selected studies assessed productivity, physicochemical fruit quality, nutrient uptake efficiency, and soil health indicators. Results showed that combined fertilization increased crop yield by 5.7% to 10% compared to conventional fertilization and improved nutrient uptake by up to 46.5%. Fruits grown under organic management had higher soluble solids, flavonoids, and antioxidant compounds. The review concludes that integrated fertilization provides significant agronomic and ecological advantages over traditional fertilization schemes.
