Farmstead"Australia" is located in the municipality of Jagüey Grande in the province of Matanzas. The main agroecological constraints were diagnosed; they were characterized socially and economically; biodiversity indices were calculated and energy indicators were determined. Crop fields were characterized agrological, assessing their use and management. The following sovereignty indices were determined: food sovereignty, technological sovereignty, energy sovereignty and economic efficiency in order to determine the socio-ecological resilience of the farm, which reaches average values. The degree of agroecological transition of the farm was evaluated. The capacities and opportunities that the peasant family farm and its members offer are recognized, which is very significant to develop improvement strategies based on the identified weaknesses; strengthening local culture and identity on agroecological, inclusive and participatory bases.
