Caracterización de una Finca Familiar campesina en Transición Agroecológica

Resumen

El presente trabajo se realizó en la finca campesina “La Gabriela” perteneciente a la CCS “Leovigildo Sierra” del municipio Pedro Betancourt en la provincia de Matanzas, con el objetivo de determinar sus potencialidades para producir alimentos y energía de forma sostenible y rentable. Para ello se realizó un diagnóstico agroecológico evaluando los indicadores de agrobiodiversidad y energía de la finca, utilizando los softwares Divers y Energía 3.01, obteniendo los principales indicadores con problemas en el agroecosistema proporcionándole a cada uno de ellos una posible solución. Asimismo, se calculó el Índice de Renovabilidad (IR) el cual es muy novedoso para evaluar el empleo de las diferentes fuentes renovables o no de energía que entran y salen del agroecosistema. Finalmente se destacaron las principales prácticas agroecológicas que se desarrollan en la finca y las posibles acciones que pueden llegar a transformarla en un sistema sostenible y gestionable agroecológicamente.

ABSTRACT

The present work was carried out in the peasant farm "La Gabriela" belonging to the CCS "Leovigildo Sierra" of the Pedro Betancourt municipality in the Matanzas province, with the objective of determining its potential to produce food and energy in a sustainable and profitable way. For this, an agroecological diagnosis was made, evaluating the agrobiodiversity and energy indicators of the farm, using the Divers and Energy 3.01 software, obtaining the main indicators with problems in the agroecosystem, providing each of them with a possible solution. Likewise, the Renewability Index (IR) was calculated, which is very innovative to evaluate the use of the different renewable or non-renewable sources of energy that enter and leave the agroecosystem. Finally, the main agroecological practices that are developed on the farm and the possible actions that can transform it into a sustainable and agroecologically manageable system were highlighted.
