Manejo Sostenible de Tierras: evaluación de los procesos degradativos de la Unidad Básica de Producción Cooperativa La Josefa.

Resumen

El presente trabajo se realizó en la Unidad Básica de Producción Cooperativa (UBPC) La Josefa, perteneciente a la Unidad Empresarial de Base Elpidio Gómez de la Empresa Azucarera Cienfuegos, entre los meses de febrero a mayo de 2014, con el objetivo de evaluar los indicadores para el Manejo Sostenible de Tierra (MST). Esta investigación se consideró no experimental, con un estudio correlacional – múltiple, se realizaron observaciones, mediciones directas y se describieron las relaciones entre las diferentes variables estudiadas, estableciéndose procesos de causalidad. Los métodos aplicados posibilitaron la captación de la información, recopilados y procesados en registros, tablas, figuras, diagramas y matrices, que permitieron dar respuesta al objetivo planteado. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se siguieron los pasos establecidos en la guía metodológica contenida en el Manual de Procedimientos para el Manejo Sostenible de Tierra elaborado en el marco del Programa de Asociación de País (CPP) en apoyo al Programa Nacional de lucha Contra la Desertificación y la Sequía (CITMA, 2005). Se efectuó un diagnóstico del área, se trazaron los transectos de investigación donde se aplicaron las herramientas metodológicas para medir los parámetros del suelos. Los resultados  evidenciaron los procesos de degradación y se elaboró la línea base para conformar el Plan de Manejo Sostenible para el período de 2014 al 2017, que contiene medidas y necesidades para solucionar los problemas de degradación identificados en la unidad objeto de estudio.

Abstract

The present work was done in the Basic Unit of Cooperative (UBPC) Production Josefa, belonging to the Managerial Unit of Base Elpidio Gómez of the Sugar Company in Cienfuegos City, from February to May  2014,  the main objective was evaluating the indicators for the Sustainable Handling of Earth (MST). This investigation was not considered experimental, with a correlate multiple study, there were observations carried out at the time, direct measurements and the relationships were described among the different variables studied, settling down processes of causation. The applied methods facilitated the reception of the information, gathered and processed in registrations, charts, figures, diagrams and wombs that allowed to give answer to the raised objective. For the development of the investigation the steps established in the methodological guide contained in the Manual of Procedures for the Sustainable Handling of Earth elaborated in the mark of the Program of Association of Country (CPP) in support to the National Program of fight Against Desertification and the Drought (CITMA 2005).A diagnosis of the area was made, the investigation transects was traced where the methodological tools were applied to measure the parameters of floors. The results evidenced the degradation processes and the line of bases were elaborated to conform the Plan of Sustainable Handling for the period from 2014 to the 2017 that it contains measures and necessities to solve the degradation problems identified in the unit study object.
