Metodología para evaluar compactación del suelo con uso intensivo de la maquinaria agrícola y problemas socioeconómicos locales

Resumen

Se realizó una investigación en la finca “Palma Sola”, municipio Rodas, donde el objetivo fue: evaluar la compactación del suelo por el uso inadecuado de la maquinaria agrícola sobre este recurso natural, utilizando los métodos más usuales para la evaluación de la compactación. Como diseño de investigación se efectuó un diagnóstico, que comprendió la caracterización de la finca donde se implementó esta metodología, la caracterización de las maquinarias e implementos agrícolas, se describió las características del tipo de suelo predominante y se analizaron algunos índices agronómicos a los cultivos establecidos en la finca y se hizo la revisión de documentos. Se identificaron informantes clave dentro del universo de trabajadores del Polígono y principales actores de fuera de este, cuyas funciones guardan estrecha relación con el lugar y con el tema de investigación, aplicándoseles un test de conocimientos para medir competencias, la información obtenida se procesó con el Coeficiente de Kendall (W). Se establecieron transeptos de investigación por tipo de uso de suelos, donde se ubicaron los puntos de observación y muestreo. Se evaluó las propiedades: compactación, drenaje, profundidad efectiva y humedad del suelo. Como resultados se obtuvo: situación de la compactación de los suelos de la finca y una propuesta de metodología para evaluar la compactación de los suelos a nivel de unidad productiva en condiciones de Cuba.

ABSTRACT

An investigation was carried out in "Palma Sola" farm, municipality of Rodas, where the objective was: to evaluate the compressing of the soil by the inappropriate use of agricultural machinery on this natural resource, using the most usual methods for the evaluation of the compressing. As a research design, a diagnosis was made, including the characterization of the farm where this methodology was implemented, the characterization of the agricultural machinery and implements, the characteristics of the predominant soil type were described and some agronomic rates were analyzed for the established crops on the farm and the document review was done. Key informants were identified within the universe of workers of the Polygon and main actors outside of this, whose functions are closely related to the place and the subject of research, applying a knowledge test to measure skills, the information obtained was processed with the Kendall coefficient (W). Research transepts were established by the type of land use, where the observation and sampling points were located. The properties were evaluated: compressing, drainage, effective depth and soil moisture. The results obtained were: situation of the compressing of the soils of the farm and a proposal of methodology to evaluate the compressing of the soils at the level of the productive unit under Cuban conditions.
