ABSTRACTThe work was carried out with the objective of evaluating the behavior of insect diversity associated with the existing flora in the organoponic cultivation system "1ro de Julio" of Havana. Direct sampling was made according to the technique of direct collection on the vegetation. The collected insects were conserved in alcohol at 70% and then they were identified. The specific richness, relative abundance and frequency of occurrence of all taxonomic categories were determined. In 1981, seven orders, 24 families and 37 species were recorded. The most represented orders were Hymenoptera, Coleoptera and Hemiptera. Carrot was the one with the lowest diversity of insects and chard was the one with the highest, most of them being harmful insects. Alpha diversity showed a downward trend in the low rainfall season. Keywords: Agrodiversity, insects, urban agriculture. ER -
