AbstractTrichoderma is a facultative anaerobic type of fungus found naturally in an important number of agricultural soils and other media types. It belongs to the subdivision Deuteromicetes characterized by not having, or have a certain sexual state. Of this genus there are more than 30 species, all with beneficial effects for agriculture and other branches. This fungus is widely distributed in the world and comes in different areas and habitat Trichoderma has several advantages as a biocontrol agent. Performs nutrient uptake of fungi (to which degrades) and organic materials decompose helping, so the additions of organic matter and composting favor it; also requires moisture to germinate, their growth rate is quite high, so it is able to establish itself in the soil and control disease. Trichoderma is probably the beneficial, more versatile and multifaceted fungus abundant in soils capable of providing a huge range of benefits that demonstrate its incalculable value from the agricultural point of view, benefits that make it an indispensable presence of microorganism in soil and crops. In this paper carried out a literature review in order to put in the hands of researchers updated information on the main features, advantages and benefits of agricultural use as biocontrol Trichoderma.Key words: Trichoderma, biological control, pathogenic, agricultural benefits.
