ABSTRACTThe present investigative work that consists of the implementation of univariate or multivariate analysis methods with quantitative variables, has as purpose to corroborate if the model given by the American Economist Arthur Okun, known as Okun's Law, which refers to the linear relationship that exists between the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the unemployment rate, where the specifically states that a variation (reduction) of 1 point in the unemployment rate, is given by an increase in GDP, generally by a variation (reduction) of 3 points in the GDP gap. As a methodology, we worked with linear regression, for which the views 5.0 software was used; with the sameone that analyzed eachone of the variables to be considered in the regression model, to verify that there is no autocorrelation, the waste correlogram was used, this helps to reduce errors and avoids us doing another calculation and minimizing time answer. Finally, the following result was obtained: The model does apply in Ecuador and it could be verified with the present work, according to the correlogram where p is greater than 0.05, therefore it results in no autocorrelation, this is important because it tells us fewer errors. Keywords:Correlogram, Okun's Law, Gross Domestic Product, Linear Regression, Unemployment Rate.
